Well, I've got a young couple who wants some 60s stuff for their big day. That's a pretty broad term, so I snapped this one together to see how close to the mark I am, then adjust. That's the nice thing about booking and communicating with your DJ early on. It's October 2013 and their wedding is set for October 2014. Spinning old stuff like this is easy: press play and use radio sensibilities (although jettisoned a few as this has a few slow songs back-to-back). The fun part of this job isn't likely to be loop juggling, beat slicing and cranking up the effects (but don't be surprised if I upload some 60s remixes and mashes before this is done). With this sort of gig, figuring out and finding the goods is what really matters and that part is a time consuming thing. If you want a truly unique reception, start by booking your DJ early on. I forgot how short these songs were, as the seven inch, 45 rpm record was the medium for singles back then. It reminds me of spinning punk.
