Bubblegum

This is one of the most misunderstood genres out there and after my time in radio, I still find it confusing as to what constitutes as Bubblegum and what does not. I consulted several sources on this including a friend of mine and DJ who worked radio in the 70s. This is Bubblegum Pop. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Say what you want. This stuff was a huge influence on pop music along with other genres, like Punk which would seem counter-intuitive.
