Come boy, sit and listen
To something tonight.
I just so happen to live here
In the grey garden.
I also once had a bicycle
And a book
And perhaps I too, have had
A high-school aged boy.

And when the rain falls
And I feel bad,
The tears are washed away
And go nowhere.
And when a boy like you passes
I feel a bit bad.
Perhaps I too, have had
A high-school aged boy.

Time bustles in front of my eyes
And escapes.
Me too, the neighbours
Used to call 'sir.'
And also there was one from Europe
Who'd loved me.
When I've lost her
I have also lost some sense.
