The fifth in our SIDES mix series is from Commend family members and frequent collaborators Christina Vantzou and John Also Bennett.
Vantzou’s exceptional new album No. 3 was recently released on Kranky. Bennett is a member of NYC synthesis trio Forma, who also have a double album on the way on Kranky (shh, it's a secret!). Christina performs selections from her album No. 3 as a trio with John on synthesizers and Marilu Donovan on harp, alongside Steve Hauschildt tonight — Tuesday, May 10 — at (le) Poisson Rouge in NYC.
