Woodly Doodly

Lots of woodles. Lots of doodles. This might scratch that itch in your brain.

Woodly Doodly is my first recorded DJ set and the result of finally finding the beat that feels right to me: 128 BPM.

I’ve listened to progressive house, trance, techno, melodic techno, and all the strange spaces between them for years. Eventually I realized that 128 is the pulse my body naturally locks into. I walk to it. I flow to it. It drives forward while leaving room for melody, atmosphere, and long transitions to breathe.

A track called “Believe” by ThereWereTwo sent me down a new path. I used AI to search outward from that sound, found new artists, and eventually discovered a genre-space I had apparently been looking for all along.

This mix lives somewhere between melodic techno, progressive house, progressive trance, and techno.
