Thanks PM, glad your pathways led here. What I would give for you to take part in a future Tropicality live session 🙏🏼❤️👊🏼

@CitizensofSound ...the very idea! 🤍
funny you talk about pathways - listened to the first hour of this show with our daughter, in the car, trawling the streets of Bristol, searching for two of her friends so she could meet up with them. balmy late afternoon heat, city roads and wonderful cumbia sounds keeping us chill. 🥳

Hey Puma, I have to ask, what is the name / artist of the Disco track that played around 25 mins in? As a long time Disco Head (good Disco that is), and for that matter Latin / Tropical music, that Disco track is a real treat and is all the Latin bits. Super pleasing to my ear holes ( : in fact at 53 mins in, it's all been great fun. TY you Puma, Jimmy & COS!

hey @iCazo! thanks for digging! 25 mins in is the OG version of this track - https://www.discogs.com/release/12887359-Portia-Carey-I-Wanna-Thank-You- there's a repress on Backatcha records but I think its an edit, one of my favs :) if you have other recs like this then I'd love to hear as I don't own too much disco/boogie stuff. 53 mins is https://vampisoul.bandcamp.com/track/guajira-sicod-lica Los Destellos - Guajira Sicodelica - cheers ✌️

Oh may, thank you! The hunt will be on for 'I wanna thank you'. It's a Disco gem. The whole set was fantastic! During the last hour I was cooking dinner with the music turned up nice and loud. btw there were a couple of re-grooved Bomba tracks that took me back to my family's origins--Juncos (up in the rainforest, which makes my dad's side of the family hillbillies AKA Jibaros). Loiza y Ponce on Mom's side. There are annual Bomba y Plena music/cultural celebrations held in Loiza y Ponce, Puerto Rico. The sound of congas, bongos and all manner of percussion fill the air--day & night. It's a scene! There were moments in this set that transported me back. That's the power of music. Gracias lads!
