Yes, that Collocutor track is pretty amazing - not sure if it's coming out on vinyl as it is On The Corner and the less said about their vaporous release schedule the better. Could have chosen so much more Keith Levene work but knew that as soon as I started digging through Dub Syndicate tracks and the rest of the Onu catalogue I would get deep and dubby - I'll save that for another day or to be more accurate 'every other day'.

Don't know if you saw my comments before I took down the 1st version but amongst my ramblings & general appreciation was utter delight at your love of Low ✌🏽 Feel much happier now with my tech set up although still experimenting with digital mixing and 'live' recording.
Excited to see a new FSON episode - my mouth is watering at the prospect of Steve Hillage, reacquainting myself with Moon & the Melodies (I'm guessing) and more Secret Circuit who you introduced me to in a previous edition 🤩

yes, I remember your message about the Bowie albums (I didn't get round to replying).
Low has a special place for me, but you're very right: there's so much that Bowie did that was/is amazing - Hunky Dory, Heroes (...I don't know how many times I've listened to Moss Garden) and Scary Monsters are especially right up there for me too.
Digital mixing can be a minefield (for me at least!) - depending on your set-up there's so many factors of failure; it's driven me nuts at times trying to get a handle on it over the past few years, only to then see my laptop develop an issue or an update play hell with something else.... all good fun!! 😜🙄😜

Joining the chorus of appreciation for "Low". Maybe because "Bowie and Eno" should really have been the name on the LP sleeve? Which is definitely not throwing shade on Bowie, because a significant part of musical genius is often an instinct for finding the right collaborators (see also Miles).
Anyone else going to put their hand up to hearing "Weeping Wall" before they'd actually heard anything by Steve Reich?

bang on re Low M'Lord - all Bowie's work with Eno sits very high in my estimation - long time love here for all Eno's post Roxy solo albums too...

Love the stories of the creation of Low and the other Berlin LPs (including Lou Reed's Berlin) but especially Eno's

I remember a friend taking round a copy of Music for Airports playing it and reading the blurb about barely audible volume and being blown away by the concept. An artist painstakingly creates something that is to be only vaguely conceived and consumed. Eno! Wow, what a guy.
