This mix is all over the map. However, it does have two common attributes. It's a whole lot of fun. And it's exceedingly danceable.
I lost myself in creating this mix when I desperately needed a pick-me-up. And it worked. And it continues to pick me up anytime I choose to put it on and turn it up.
More than anything else this holiday season should be FUN. Maybe that's why it's called holiday rather than Holy Day. Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and the Gregorian calendar's New Year are all celebrations.
W.C. Clark says it all for me in the opening tune:
I don't want nobody crying Christmas tears
Remember all the good times we've had down through the years
Dancing to the music, singing Christmas songs
Having a party - the year is almost gone
This one's for my godson, John. He's four. He knows what this time of year is all about. Fun!
