Blue Moon

Here’s a full hour of tunes to enjoy any night there’s a full moon. An eclectic mix, to be sure, that includes “There’s A Moon Out Tonight” by The Capris, “Moon River” by Jerry Butler, “Moonshadow” by Cat Stevens, Van Morrison’s “Moondance”, “Destination Moon” by Dinah Washington, and, of course, Frank Sinatra singing “Fly Me To The Moon”.

And because I uploaded it on July 31st, 2015 it begins and ends with two very different versions of “Blue Moon” – the colloquial definition of a blue moon being a full moon occurring twice in one calendar month.

And I also uploaded it on the 31st of July to honor by good friend Ted and wish him a very happy birthday. Friends like Ted are only slightly less rare than a blue moon in February.
