Welcome to the inaugural episode of Cap on Mixcloud! These 1-hour'ish sets are produced specifically for Mixcloud, and will sometimes be themed, or just like Cap himself, all over the map. This first episode however will focus on the early alternative that spoke to Cap, listening on Toronto's cfny fm in the early 80s, known then as The Spirit of Radio. It was the only commercial radio station playing new wave, punk and the pioneers of alternative and electronic music. Other streams will feature other eras of alternative and indie music, but this is where it all began, and clocking in at 79 minutes, we hear from Japan, The Clash, Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Fall and much more.
