Perspective is everything. For me whilst Disco delivered new sounds and gave recognition for a number of great artists it also forced some soul artists either out of deals or into producing some insipid dance based tracks to keep up. These tracks were favourites of mine prior to the arrival of the ever-present dance beat label – Dance tracks pre-disco - but with Real Soul
