Fast beat the feet, fast fall the hands.
My history with underground dance music starts in a warehouse tucked away in a bland business district of suburban San Antonio Texas. Changez nightclub was an all-ages oasis of musical and personal expression for a frustrated, unruly teen living in a conservative desert with classic rock and country as its soundtrack. What made the club special was its maestro DJ Jesse who introduced me to the music which would largely shape my identity with underground culture and dj'ing. I've long wanted to make a mix of my favorite tracks from those days and after many many years have done so.
