CHIC said it, and many followed suit. Disco1tus Non1nterruptus Vol 2, Everybody Dance is the most radio friendly of all of the mixes with four #1 Pop Hits and a few dance floor only hits thrown in for good measure. With only a few exceptions many of these acts fall outside the “producer as the star” aspect that pervades much of Disco and Dance music, not that there is anything wrong with that.
