It’s late. You’ve found your way to a warehouse somewhere on the outskirts of London. No fancy production, no phones in the air, no social media just a sound system, strobes, smoke, a room full of people and that unmistakable sound of early house and rave.

This mix is about recreating that feeling.

Starting darker and more underground, then gradually lifting as the night turns into morning finishing with one of those records that just feels like daylight breaking through: Shades of Rhythm – The Sound of Eden.

These are the records I remember from that period, played the way I would have played them then.

No sync. No digital mixing. Just two Technics, vinyl and a mixer.
