A sheriff arrives as a hero, darkness behind the badge. An outlaw arrives as a legend, blood behind the romance.

ACT III: SIN

The wife and outlaw become lovers. He returns to violence. The sheriff hunts. The outlaw runs.

ACT IV: GUILT
Long Black Veil / Criminal / Available
Captured, he could expose their affair and save himself. He stays silent. She carries the guilt; her husband, the rage.

ACT V: GRACE
The Blood Flowed Like Wine / What Makes A Good Man?
The outlaw dies. The law has won. Has goodness?

The sheriff rides away. No answer follows.
