One of my favorite music sets on our radio station was Lior Rachmani's "Pilim" (Elephants). Going on the air every Saturday night, Pilim had an original concept and a unique sound. Rachmani had cut and pasted various music styles and funny soundbites, which reflected his imagination and cultural influences, and with clever editing, he created 60 minutes of surreal sound dreams.
In 2010 I paid a tribute to Pilim with my own set, "Kipodim" (Hedgehogs).
First aired on Kol HaCampus on 29 Sep. 2010
