In this episode, we focus on music from the late 60s and early 70s, a time when some musicians who had trafficked in the psychedelic realm eschewed their sitars for louder guitars and darker and heavier sounds. Some of what they recorded would come to be known as Heavy Metal, and even Punk. But this transitional period remains one that is somewhat under-documented, and ripe for exploration.
