Speed | Hardstyle/Frenchcore/Hard Techno Minimix

Mixed on the DDJ FLX4, roughly 1 week after receipt of equipment.

Still getting used to mixing in phrase, balancing EQ levels and getting a feel for song length, along with just mixing for 15 minutes and avoiding too many mistakes. A few warts here and there (could have flipped Bella Ciao back to intro after cut to give more length, EQ on mid/hi end was a bit off during mashup of Number One and Le Tube De l'Ether) but I'm fairly happy with what I ended up with.

Also experimenting with what I call "mixing in energy", which is a subset of mixing in phrase, but also accounts for the energy level of the songs being mixed. I found that one of the now-cut tracks just didn't vibe well when mixing out of Bella Ciao and had to be swapped out. It's also tricky when utilizing tracks that don't have a proper breakdown after the first drop.
