The Arcadia show in 2019/20 season features a piece by John Luther Adams "Become Ocean" from 2013, one of the most important contemporary works that was recently elected in Top10 of "The best classical music works of the 21st century" by The Guardian. The monumental orchestral palindrome that made John Luther Adams an internationally renowned composer is a thrilling depiction of water in irresistible motion, in the tradition of music by Wagner, Debussy and Sibelius. But Adams’s intention is much more than mere description – it’s a warning of what lies ahead for us and our seas if we do not care for them. The rest of the show consists of new tracks or albums from Amanda Palmer, Mary Lattimore, Serghey Akhunov, Poppy Ackroyd, Lubomyr Melnyk etc.
