Backwaters

Sometimes things don't go according to plan and that was definitely the case with this project. I intended to make an electroswing mix for the WEATNU Echostation radio portal but the sound evolved into a much more eclectic mix of electronic styles to include glitch, glitch hop and dub.

It's a trip through the backwaters of electronica hence it's name.

There isn't a tracklist as such, the whole thing was created from scratch in MuLab 6 using a variety of sample loops from different packs and sources. The project overloaded the CPU several times due to the sheer number of tracks and effects channels which the CPU couldn't cope with killing MuLab in the process but luckily the recovered files and subsequent regular saving of different versions meant I was able to complete it, just.
