Thank you! I just found this podcast, and am loving it. This episode explains how we got from my mom's music to Bill Haley and the Comets. I remember running home from school to see American Bandstand when it was still a Philadelphia show using Artie Shaw's "High Society" as a theme song, so this really brings together a lot of threads for me.
