A collaborative playlist of milking songs from the Hebrides, Irish harp, obscure role-play computer game music named after a book of Welsh mythology, milking rhythms, cosmic Celtic folklore and Aled’s mother’s copy of the soundtrack to A Clockwork Orange. Taking Bláithín’s work ‘The Rock and The Hard Place’ as a jumping-off point—part of Artist’s Bars presented by Kitty Finer, at The Horse Hospital, London, March 2026.
‘…a group show, where for one night shift only the bar is the work of art, the artist is the bartender and the spectator is the punter.’ Bláithín’s bar served up sticks of rock alongside drinks drawn from stories of Bullaun stones, marble in river beds and milk spills.
