This week’s show features powerful African rhythms (LV’s immense refix for Mighty Zulu Nation; Owiney Sigoma band) and downtempo soul/jazz/reggae gems from Calypso Rose, Diggs Duke and Lady; a Cuban re-lick for a Mizell Brothers classic (Think Twice); big soulful deep house and future bass from Anushka, Joy Orbison and Juk Juk. We also play a brand new track from Bristol legend Tricky and electronic reworks (by Om Unit and Machinedrum) of hip hop bangers by J Dilla and Guilty Simpson. We sneak in a little edit of Frank Ocean and shake you upside your head with heavy cuts from the mighty Soil &"Pimp" Sessions and RocketNumberNine/Four Tet. We begin to close out with some pure digital dancehall/soulful reggae fire from the likes of Wildlife!, Eccleton Jarret, Sugar Minott and Fat Freddy’s Drop. We finish with Mala's heavyweight 'Lean Forward' and a sweeping widescreen extraterrestrial cut from MJ Cole.
