Our first broadcast on Radio 2funky (test transmission). We only started recording after the first half hour of the show, which, frankly, was the best bit - next time you gots to tune in. Anyway, kicked off with some low slung skanking fonk from the likes of Outkast, Erykah Badu and Sa-Ra and then into some jazzy hip-hop with the ever soulful UK artist Homecut. We pushed up the BPM into some deep boogie house (Funkineven) and some afro stylings (Daphni and LV), and took it even darker into drum n bass territory with Calyx, dropped into some old skool funk and disco, house mashups and dancehall, before ending on some digi-dancehall sound killers and cut up breaks courtesy of Harmonic 313, Major Lazer and Luke.
