This is my Masterpiece Mix. I’ve been a DJ for about 20 years & the mix-tape was always very important in my life, culture, and upbringing. They gave me inspiration, joy, familiar hope when lost, and most importantly a soundtrack of freedom for my own life. I remember being at an airport in '99, Boy Bands were playing everywhere. So I sat down, got out my Minidisc, headphones, Kruder & Dorfmeister & My whole energy shifted, I was free to live my way! Then later in a lodge with shallow skiers & music, but I had a secret weapon...DJ Shadows “Entroducing”- Saved again by one of the Best! The Mushroom Jazz & Chicago mixes showed a new world to me daily. So I began working hard on concept mixes for those who value realness over a party.
So this is my Mix. It’s honest, dynamic, soulful, & very personal. Real examples of my lifes experience & I’m damn proud of it!
