My goal when I buy music is to be able to find a home for each track on a mix. I much prefer to listen to mixes than individual tracks. Finding the right place for a track in a mix can really make it come alive in ways that, on its own, is just not possible.
For me it's all about the journey. A great set is nuanced and the progression has to make sense. Finding a home for some of the tracks in this set has not been easy as some of these are so unique.
Recently I’ve heard a few incredible, eclectic sets and, in part, these inspired my approach to this set - finding a unique structure that allows each track to have as much impact as possible whilst balancing continuity with diversity. I'm stoked with the musical journey that unfolded and am grateful to all the musicians, producers and DJs that inspire me.
