When picking out these tunes I thought about all the different kinds of love - erotic, unrequited, spiritual, love for family by blood and choice, love for childhood friends and people we've lost. I tried to incorporate material that was close; there are some "warts-and-all" vinyl rips, tape demos found in a family cabin, and field recordings made as recently as July 2022.
