Hope everyone is well, I wanted to update you all as I mentioned on May's stream, that I'm going to be moving away from Mixcloud for the foreseeable, and instead streaming on Twitch, with listen back over on my Soundcloud.

From Friday's stream onwards, I'll be going live on Twitch, so make sure to drop me a follow there to get notified when that happens! The schedule will stay the same - every first Friday of the month at 7pm UK time 🕺💃✨

Reason for this mostly being the 4 listens per 14 days restriction that Mixcloud has brought in. It really punishes smaller streamers such as myself who have few, but avid listeners. I could enable subs here and that would lift that restriction for those who subbed, but I don't believe charging those key listeners a monthly fee for just mixes is a fair trade - if I were to open up a subscription option I would want to have more value to provide as part of it, which I don't have currently.

Twitch is also a much more established platform for streaming video, and looked much better quality on the test stream. There aren't ads shown on Twitch streams until you hit affiliate or partner, so there's no worry about ads interrupting a stream.
VODs won't be available, much like they aren't on Mixcloud.
For listening back, Soundcloud and Mixcloud are largely comparable.

I'm working on uploading previous shows to Soundcloud, and currently the latest 4 or 5 are already available there to listen as much as you like, for free. I'll keep Mixcloud Pro up until I can sort the rest, but will likely just upload select ones from the past, and give away the rest in a downloadable bundle - I'll do another post here when I get that all sorted for you.
