Speedcore naturally continued the trend of increasing the speed in hardcore music of the early 1990s. Taking the best of the extreme metal styles of the 1980s, speedcore combines a loud beat, distorted percussion, hysterical screams, and samples from action and horror films with anti-human and anti-musical messages at a speed of 300 to 1000 BPM. Speedcore, like all marginal styles, mocks the mainstream. Therefore, the best way to destroy a troublesome hit is to make a speedcore remix of it. Here is an example—a 100% speedcore mix.
