Blood Feast (1963)

Our one way trip through the century continues in 1963 with seminal splatter director HG Lewis' "Blood Feast". Looking for a way to pocket some money, the famous exploitation director Lewis, along with producer David Friedman, would somewhat unintentionally create a new subgenre in horror, the splatter film. This new concept would eventually consume the genre during a decade of distrust and backlash of a growing counterculture in America. Come back to the waiting arms of the Phantom Erik and Lester Reaper as they give the decade of the '60s with some bloodlust, while also recounting the tale of contemporary horror cinema's newest madman preparing an Egyptian Feast of human body parts.
