Meet some of the world’s most exciting new music venues and how they’re reimagining connection, culture and cutting-edge sound.

music venues

Across the world, a new wave of music venues is redefining what nightlife can look and feel like. These aren’t just clubs or dancefloors; they’re spaces built with community, creativity and connection at their core. From Singapore to Mexico City, these spaces offer their own vision of how music can bring people together.

Here are just a few of these new and exciting music venues, their missions and the feelings they wish to evoke for their audiences.

RASA

RASA is a new nightlife space designed to foster connection and collaboration between artists and communities that recently opened up in Singapore. Translated to ‘essence’ in Sanskrit, RASA is a community space offering delicious cocktails, gelato, food and a sound system made for curious ears.

“RASA embraces the nuances of culture and genre,” they tell us. “From experimental electronic, Baile Funk and Techno to Soulful House; from queer joy to international and regional artistry. From the moment someone steps in, we want them to sense that this is more than a club. It’s a place built with care, character and consciousness. We designed RASA to balance warmth and elegance. Where comfort, sound and aesthetic all contribute to a feeling of ease and flow. Whether you’re dancing to a world-class DJ, enjoying a curated dinner or simply connecting with friends, our goal is to create a feeling of resonance.”

DJs that have played at RASA so far include dBridge, Answer Code Request, Elaheh, Haruka and many more, as the space sets out to redefine what a nightlife space can truly be.

House Of Glory

Taking over where the now relocated Mexico City club Yu Yu once was, House Of Glory (HOG) opened its doors in early 2025. It has become a hub for electronic music and sensory experiences. Inspired by German nightclubs, the music venue seeks to emulate the energy of those spaces but with a local feel.

“HOG was born from the desire to have a Berlin-style electronic club in Mexico City,” the HOG crew shares. “A place where the musical experience and appreciation of DJs and artists is at the center. The intimacy of our space allows us something unique: to weave a genuine community. We want to be a meeting point for collectives. A showcase for emerging talents and an open door for international DJs. HOG is not just a club, it is a home for lovers of groovy music.

When talking about HOG, we often refer to it as a ‘club room.’ More than implying that we have a limited capacity in a basement (which we find cool), to us, this naming reflects our deepest intention. Building a warm underground community space where people can feel the music through all their senses and forget about the rest.

Our independence and integration in the electronic music community in Mexico City allows us today to collaborate with the DJs we actually love to listen to or that are close to us. It is a privilege. Recently, we had a takeover by the established collective Capricho, with which we curated a visual-sound experience. It was a blast.” Still in its early days, HOG is building a loyal audience fast.

SLAP

SLAP 拍 is a new club in Hong Kong, pushing a grassroots vision for nightlife and giving a platform to the city’s underground scene. You can expect to hear anything from Psychedelic Techno, Jungle, deconstructed club, Bass and much more.

“Our club is inspired by and is a reflection of Hong Kong’s underground electronic music culture, that’s why it looks the way it looks and is located where it is,” the SLAP team tells Mixcloud. “It’s the only such club in Kowloon, the crammed, cultural heart of Hong Kong.

I always joked with our co-founder that I want guests to feel like they’ve stepped into hell. Like they’ve discovered a naughty secret they only want to share with their closest friends. We also want people to feel that they can mingle with anyone. Or, if preferred, get lost in a corner alone.”

SLAP’s connection to Hong Kong’s underground scenes is evident in its relationship with staples like Hong Kong Community Radio (HKCR) and record label Absurd Trax, who’ve both had parties in the space. An amazing sign of things to come. “As HKCR has pushed the scene forward for so many years, it was very special to have them at our club,” they reflect. “It felt like a reunion and house party for so many people there.”

New Forms

New Forms is a new cultural space in London from the team behind Next Door Records. It serves as a creative workspace by day and listening bar by night. So far, the space has welcomed the likes of Roberta Cutolo, Marcelina, KT, Josh FB and Dare Balogun. As well as residents Thom Parris, Louis Ray and Son Of Paul.

“New Forms is a no pressure, day into night spot with music curation at the forefront,” the team tells us. “A daytime creative hub, boutique record shop and music-focused bar. Thoughtfully designed with a warm, minimalist aesthetic, it offers a refined space for work, conversation and connection. By day, it’s a calm workspace for creative minds. By night, it transforms into a wine and cocktail bar with vinyl DJs and hi-fi listening taking centre stage. The sweet spot between retail, hospitality and music.

We welcome someone wanting to listen to DJs blend wax through our ear-watering sound system, catch up with mates over a few unique cocktail blends or sketch out their next big idea on the back of a cigarette packet over coffee. We strive for New Forms to be a multi-faceted, high quality yet relaxed atmosphere. A nod to the deep music culture of the area.”

Open Ground

Since opening its doors in 2023, Open Ground – located in Wuppertal, Germany – has quickly become a global favorite. Located underground in a converted World War II bunker, it’s best known for its unique location, immersive sound system and incredible programming and energy.

“Open Ground is committed to originality, independence and expanding horizons,” says the Open Ground crew. “Whoever you are, whatever your background, we invite you to join us with an open mind. Share a great experience of sound-system music in an inclusive, respectful and safe club environment for everyone. Please don’t worry about being cool enough or young enough or styled right; just be yourself and be nice.”

Open Ground has played host to some of the best DJs going. This includes Elijah, Mantra, DBridge, Joy Orbison, Mala, Floating Points and Skee Mask. Developing a cult following in a short time, Open Ground is an arena for you to plunge into the music, first and foremost.

Café Café

Amsterdam’s famous Café Café restaurant has now expanded into a 400-capacity music venue located on the canal. Dedicated to nightlife, hospitality and electronic music for over a decade, it made its debut as an Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) party in October 2025, reimagining the Café Café experience in a brand new and exciting context.

“We saw an opportunity to bring all of that experience together and create an all-day hangout right in the heart of Amsterdam,” the team tells Mixcloud. “A place where music, culture, and community naturally meet. From our fully custom-built sound system and Resor Electronics rotary mixer, to the DJs who bring their own records, every detail is designed to make people feel immersed and comfortable. We want guests to feel equally comfortable kicking back with a coffee or staying late to catch world class selectors.”

Café Café’s debut ADE programme brought together global artists and collectives who share their energy and vision. From DJ Stingray to Dirty Hands x Sous -Vides Records, the occasion marked a new chapter for the famous venue.

Stamina

Melbourne’s newly-opened and quickly-established “vault for Hard Techno and hard bounce,” Stamina is built for the community that surrounds it. Where you’ll move to sounds from local talent and global icons alike. “With Hard Techno’s popularity rising, many clubs dove into the 150-200 BPM spectrum without the community focus, production and setting that define rave culture,” the team tells us. “Stamina was built as a space fit for purpose. Where Melbourne’s Hard Techno community can set their own pace. Gather around the country’s sharpest tastemakers. Harder sounds can thrive here without BPM ceilings or trend-chasing.”

With a mission to help its community feel free to come as they are and leave it all on the floor, Stamina’s all-accepting, hedonistic spirit of rave culture makes it accessible and desirable for a new generation of ravers finding their place in the scene. It also opens doors on rising Australian talent such as BAXTER, Jesse Taylor, Four to Eight and AXLMORE, who’ve all played at the venue.

“Instead of relying on big international names, we’ve chosen to focus on rising Australian talent,” the crew continues. “We take pride in backing local Australian artists with the goal of putting Melbourne’s techno scene on the global stage.”

Cincuenta Cincuenta (50/50)

Right in the heart of Medellín, Cincuenta Cincuenta (50/50) is an exciting new music venue that offers an unforgettable experience for local and visiting music lovers, providing a range of sounds from House to Techno as well as Latin beats. It was born as a space to reconnect Medellín with local and electronic music in a raw, honest and community-driven way. Standing for inclusion, independence and authenticity, every night at Cincuenta Cincuenta becomes a shared space, not just another event.

“50/50 is a centre for dance, culture, and reflection; a space dedicated to music, performance arts and food,” the crew tells us. “We believe a club is not just a place to dance. It’s a living ecosystem where culture, sound and people merge to create identity. We want people to feel part of something intimate yet powerful. A hidden centre of gravity in the city.”

Some of Cincuenta Cincuenta’s most memorable nights have featured XDB, Jane Fitz, the Insurgentes farewell party with Verraco, Skee Mask and many more. On top of their weekly Reggaetón nights, charged with pure local energy.

“Inside Sala Centro, the energy isn’t about spectacle, it’s about belonging,” the Cincuenta Cincuenta crew continues. Dim lights, warm sound, and people who are there for the music. “A terrace with an incredible view that embodies how Reggaetón feels in Medellín. And a patio where you can simply enjoy, eat and hang with friends. We want every visit to feel like coming home to a collective heartbeat. An underground refuge that values curiosity, care and joy over status.”
