8 Of The Most Iconic DJ Sets From We Out Here Festival

Get ready for We Out Here by reliving some of the most incredible sets from its memorable history so far.

We Out Here

Since 2019, We Out Here has celebrated the very best music has to offer. Founded by Gilles Peterson, the UK-based festival cultivates community around music and wellness every year and shows no signs of stopping.

From Soul and Hip-Hop to Jazz and House, We Out Here has welcomed legends and future legends through its doors to wow audiences, from Theo Parrish to Thundercat. With the 2025 edition around the corner, we’re sharing some of our favourite sets and moments from the past years to hype you up ahead of the big weekend.

Ron Trent At The Bowl (2024)

As an architect of Chicago House, the legendary Ron Trent needs no introduction. He lets his sets and the musical euphoria he emits do the talking. This was the case when he took the stage at last year’s edition with an incredible three-hour set. Playing dance music for the soul, this is enough to put a smile on your face as 2025’s festival edges closer.

Jungle (2023)

Not only are Jungle a pair of great musicians, but they sure can put a DJ set together! The BRIT Award winning band pulled up to We Out Here in 2023 with a bag full of bangers and edits. They blessed the festival over the course of two hours, just as the sun was going down.

DJ Storm At The Grove (2024)

DJ Storm is known as the ‘First Lady of Drum & Bass’ for a reason. A true pioneer, she has represented Metalheadz via residencies, label club nights and tours around the world. Not only that, but she has won Best Female DJ at the National Drum & Bass Awards four times. No mean feat! As expected, her set from Way Out Here is for the D&B purists, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

Jamz Supernova (2023)

The incredible Jamz Supernova brought some modern flavour in 2023. Hers is a festival set dripped in African sounds and UK favourites. On display are slices of bouncy Amapiano, Gqom and Funky House to crank the temperature up and showcase the vibrant international music scenes in all their glory.

Luke Una At The Bowl (2024)

Luke Una is a close friend of We Out Here, and it’s not hard to see why with sets like this. Over a six-hour session at The Bowl, the Sheffield-born dance music veteran glides through four decades of impeccable vibrations. This set is enough to transport you to the fields before the festival even starts!

Mr Redley (2022)

Rinse FM resident Mr Redley brought the soul with his two hour session from 2022. Releasing the rhythmic bliss of Soulful House, this is enough to soundtrack your sun-kissed summer evenings as you transition into the night. Get your dancing shoes on for this one!

DJ Paulette At The Bowl (2024)

We’re big fans of DJ Paulette over here, because anything musical that she touches turns into gold. One of the original residents of Manchester’s famed Hacienda nightclub, she brings glitz and glamour to her festival set. She releases a colourful array of Disco, House and Techno from around the globe.

Mr Scruff, MC Kwasi & Friends (2021)

Electronic titan Mr Scruff had surprises in store for his monster set from 2021. Coasting through sounds such as House, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul and Dub, he had enough time to invite close friends MC Kwasi, Vanessa Freeman and Mikey D.O.N to bask in the vibes. “Now this was a lovely way to end an amazing festival,” Mr Scruff said. “I was very honoured to play the final 4 hours on the Forest Stage at We Out Here 2021, alongside the original smile factory MC Kwasi. Vanessa Freeman & Mikey D.O.N got involved on the mic too, making it a proper family affair.”
