Céline Mathieu in conversation with artist Rosie Heinrich
–Best ingested when having a moment to actively listen.
Speaking to Kunsthuis SYB’s current resident Rosie Heinrich, I hope to learn about listening, editing and the power of make-belief. In this podcast we will discuss her work and methods for recording multiple voices and cutting these to snippets, to rearrange and form them into a new possible narrative. We will talk about the stretchability of narratives, unspoken languages, modes of listening, consuming language and co-authoring. What better way to address these topics than through a satisfyingly meta, recorded conversation?
Featuring sound fragments from the works “We always need heroes” and “Eat my words” with Katrin Hahner, Birna Bragadottir, Gunnþórunn Guðmundsdóttir and Ragnar Marinósson.
Kunsthuis SYB is an Artist Residency that encourages and provides research, experiment and new cooperation.
