This week SportZone have an in-depth interview with the former Chief Executive of the Football Association, Brian Barwick.
Brian worked his way up from being a local journalist to become Head of Sport at the BBC.
He talks about his career at the very top of the sporting world, including heading up broadcasts of The Rugby World Cup, The Olympics and FIFA World Cups. He also has a take on the recent entry of BT Sport into screening Premiership highlights and what Sky have contributed to the sport.
Brian found himself working for the Match Of The Day team and talks about what an influential piece of television it has become. Brian was also involved with FIFA as they moved towards goal-line technology and he offers insight into what led to the decision being made.
His new book Are You Watching The Match Tonight tracks the growth of TV football coverage, from three cameras covering the first match to the forty-seven which tracked every moment of last year's Champions League final.
