Retrospective on Belgian jazzscene by David Borsu

Retrospective on Belgian jazzscene by David Borsu

Playing tracks by

David Borsu ft. Damia Da Costa, Marc Moulin, Placebo, Jacques & Micheline Pelzer Quartet, Open Sky Unit and more.

Talented producer David Borsu from Liege comes with another high quality guestmix in a series of retrospectives on local jazzscenes. This time we focus on the Belgian jazzscene. Expect classic tracks by the likes of Marc Moulin, Placebo, Jacques Pelzer plus a shit rare and mindblowing gem by Open Sky Unit from original Duchesne LP. Recorded in a small jazz club in the city of Liege, back in 1974. To top things off, David presents two of his own tracks: his 2004 breakthrough 'A Way Of Life', as favored by the headz, and the wonderful melodic 'Late Nite Swing', which officially came out more than a year after I aired this selection on my late radio show Satelliet (2000-2005). Broadcasted on the local radio station in Groningen, the Netherlands on May 3rd, 2004.
