We had a special guest this week, Emmanuel Twesigye, who was a friend of Janani Luwum's and involved in the protest against Idi Amin that led to Luwum's martyrdom.  It was amazing for Laurie and Karl to sit down and talk to someone who actually knew a saint.  After our discussion about Janani Luwum, we talked about Christianity in Africa, and had our lectionary-based Bible study, in which Jesus confronted Herod in much the same way as Janani Luwum confronted Amin.
