Episode #22: Wait? What? Now we have to think about polyamory?

This week on Word and Table, Karl, Laurie, and new contributor Ben Garren delve into the terrifying question of polyamorous relationships, and how the church should respond to them, as we consider Steven Thrasher's article on Gawker, "Master Bedroom, Extra Closet: The Truth About Gay Marriage."  If, as Thrasher contends, marriage between two gay men is different than straight marriage in that spouses often, and very openly, work out agreements in which they can sleep with other people, how is the church supposed to respond?  Is it that these marriages are simply more honest than straight marriages, in which infidelity is common but hidden?  And if so, is honesty a simple spiritual good?  Or are there other, more important spiritual considerations to keep in mind, such as the discipline and faith that monogamy seeks to provide?  This is the most thorny issue we've ever discussed on Word and Table, and we hope you'll join the discussion by commenting below.  We even manage to discuss the
