A Tribute To Bob James' Nautilus: compiled by Paul De Loecker

Chart positions

This show was 1st in the global hip hop chart, 1st in the global funk chart and 2nd in the global jazz chart.

2014 marks the 40th Anniversary of Bob James' seminal CTI debut LP 'One'. Little did James know at the time of release, that the album's final track, a midtempo instrumental titled 'Nautilus' would go on to become an unlikely hip hop classic and one of the most sampled records of all time. When friend of the site approached us with his tribute to this classic cut, a playlist of 15 of his favourite tracks to have sampled Nautilus accompanied by interview snippets from the sampling artists and James himself, we were happy to share this entertaining audio journey with you.

Great great mix ! The interviews snippets really serve it well ! I knew Bob James and I knew many of the songs featured on the list of all the artists who sampled this song but I didn't know that song and I had no idea how important was that song. Crazy.
