Joel Newnham

Loved the deep bassy beats of The Large Hadron Collider. When in Rome was great. Always great to hear Talk Talk, I remember when you did a 10 of the best for them. Visage and Thompson Twins really stood out for me too and talking about ending on a high with Bowie of course. What a show, again.

White Lion Radio

Thank you Joel, it's a good mix of the old and new, Talk Talk should have been massive but they lost their way after their second album. I did an interview with Clive Farrington the lead singer of When In Rome a few years back, a top guy, really enjoyed chatting to him, I must try and find the interview and put it online again. Really pleased you picked out the Jonteknik track as a highlight, I love Jon's work.

Exciting Valence

Thank You David :)

The Lemon Circus

A tasty thumping Human League opener which was new to me. Same thumping on The Large Hadron Collider blended well, When In Rome only new to me from the promise which you played recently this had the same production but lacked the charm but still pleasant enough. This side of the border was 90s synth reminiscent of a 2unlimited production. A great Talk Talk tune, We like to suffer and look what they've done went well - it's like you've paired up the newer with the former snap cards. Thompson twins a strong contender for best track in this set but then Eurotix - Tonight steal the chance (think I've heard this before in another WLR upload - fantastic track. Photograph very lounge feel. Vanguard another potential winner but going to go with... Parralox - Universe I love just for the twinkling and shimmering sounds in there, happy vibes is what I'm looking for on a Monday morning :)

Glad you enjoyed it mate, agree with you in that Eurotix deliver again and of course Parralox have released some gems in their time, Talk Talk vastly underrated in the 80s, their first 2 albums are pure class. The Human League track dates back to 1978/79, it's off their debut album "Reproduction", so it is well before the success of "Dare", Jonteknik is a talented guy and I love his material, he has worked with Paul Humphreys of OMD, and on that subject the track "Photograph Of You" is by a band he and the rest of OMD set up without Andy McCluskey, following an acrimonious split, they only made one album called "Still Life", which is superb!
