Always on my mind, the Christmas number 1 in 1987 and the opening track on Now That's What I Call Music 11. Alphaville was my favourite, closely followed by Living in a Box, but all round a great playlist, thanks again for keeping the 80s alive and kicking :)

The best number one single at Christmas for me the Pet Shop Boys "Always On My Mind", funnily enough I was doing some research on Living In A Box and thet are still going!

Thanks for listening and commenting Joel.

It stopped Fairytale of New York from getting to the very top

The Lemon Circus

Kim Wilde - Water On Glass and UB40 - Many Rivers To Cross the only two tracks I wasn't familiar with, but nice tunes they were. Of course Always on my mind is going to win in any bunch of 80s tracks, also love everything counts, souvenir, we close our eyes but I can still hear Madonna borderline melodically in my head, such a great pop song I shall have her as notable runner up this week :)

Did you ever hear Cher's version of Many Rivers to Cross?

White Lion Radio

Glad you enjoyed it mate, like yourself and Joel Pet Shop Boys provide the best track on the show.

Joel, I had no idea Cher had recorded "Many Rivers To Cross", musty dig that out.
