Metroland are an electronic conceptual band from Belguim and have been in existance for 5 years, releasing 3 albums so far, the impressive "Mind The Gap", "Triadic Ballet" and "Things Will Never Sound The Same Again". They are heavily influenced by Kraftwerk as well as the likes of OMD and Orbital.

On this special show we interview the band on Skype, where they reveal details of their 4th conceptual release and chat about their 5 years as Metroland, in addition, the show includes various tracks from their new release as well as their new single "Cube".

Joel Newnham

Brilliant! What a lovely pair of fellas, very interesting. Thanks!

White Lion Radio

They were fantastic to interview Joel, their passion for their music and the detail they go into about the concepts for their albums is amazing, it was a very relaxing interview and an absolute pleasure to do. They are down to earth and even the detail they went into in response to my questions was really good to listen to.

I hope the show gets the band a few more fans and generates interest for them.

As always thank you for commenting, it really is appreciated.

Joel Newnham

It's never the same thing not owning the physical CD and a sleeve with a picture that tells a story on it.

White Lion Radio

Spot on Joel, I truly struggle with the download concept, you can't beat having a physical product with information, Metroland are fantastic in that respect as they research and research and always put out a fine physical product, as I mentioned in the interview with them, their attention to detail is exceptional, something mainstream bands could and should learn from.

Thanks again mate for listening to the show and hope you enjoyed it.

The Lemon Circus

Interesting guys - and I think their accent is awesome - always amazed at none English speakers and how fluent they appear, incredible skill. But of course that's not there only one such top music - my fave from it all was Re-Design (Re-Mixed). Still feeling like I arrived at the Metroland doors of discovery a little bit late this interview recaps and pick sup with those new to the act. friendly and insightful Gary you done a fantastic job here of reviewing and reflecting in a comprehensive order, really allowed the programme to flow. You handled it with ease, let's have some more... :)
