The Lemon Circus

OK gave it a listen and not one track I thought needed to be skipped - they all deserved my attention delightful vocals matched well with the instruments, nice opener illustrating that point very well. An if you don't have vocal why not just have dreamy instruments like baby robot? excellent! Shine was sublime and straight from a time machine linking us to the early 80s, superb. Good name to a remix for metroland (star wars fan in the house) some deep, dark and angry synth all melodic and crafted to a high finish regardless of the money big companies can pump into production - testimony to their dedication and passion for great music. Then it went mellow again with tranquil vibes, then came what must be the next big things to happen the last 3 tracks, not that they headline more than the other tracks (and I see they have more than 1 track in the set) but the production seems more stadium pleasing than the others more personal. I think my fave from this high standard was Vile Electrodes not that they broke any new ground but sounded as if they could - excited that the harmony and grace of the piece itself was one step away from redefining a new sound that could be huge. I wait to see, and hope I'm correct :)

It's a good month for new electronic tracks and glad you liked the show. I love the Vile Electrodes track and highly recommend another track of theirs called "Deep Red", a moody track with a heavy OMD influence. You have probably guessed I am a big Metroland fan and am really impressed by the high standard of music they have released. As for the closing 3 tracks, no argument from me, Parralox have been consistantly good for a long time. The new Dancing With Ruby album is very impressive and the 2 tracks I did select are my favourites. "Dance Move Feel" is brilliant, it has a great vibe and a brilliant catchy riff. Incidently Matt from the band was the synth player in Northern Kind whom I have featured a lot in the past.

As ever thanks for listening and always enjoy the dialogue about the music, you seem very much on the same wavelength as me regards the music you enjoy listening to.
