The Lemon Circus

Here's the irony - I had loads of issues playing the set this morning Internet Explorer - a couple of restarts later I got there :) I have that remix of Blondies on a CD of a rerelease in the 1990s - I'll say 1993 thereabouts, cracking hook that thumps - love it. Luther Vandros not really big on that pop soul thing, but he does it well - Gold a classic Spandau Ballet tune and the mix was great to hear. As much as I feel ill looking at the man - I probably like Elton John for his output than David Bowie, controversial? perhaps... Nikita such a strong song, Ultravox was new to me, but shouldn't have been now I have their greatest hits CD which will I'm sure be on there - I just need to play it. De La Soul, again not big on rap - but I do enjoy bubble gum pop rap (thinking Got To Get - Leila K and Rob& Raz, oh and I do like Eye-Know by De La soul) always fun production on the scratches and samples though. White Lines is genuinely one of my fave songs - I'd struggle to compile a top 10 rap songs, but this is up there. Loved the extended electric dreams version, and axel f is a great instrumental (until the crazy frog got hold of it) and the best for last in this set - the track the Race always loved, and the 12" version added some delightful flips and flops to an already highly polished bit of synth pop. Terrific :)

Glad you enjoyed it mate and I must say I don't know what is going on with Mixcloud at the moment, constant stop/start when listening to shows and shows not uploading! I've liked Elton Johns bigger hits, including "Nikitta" and like you love the remix of "Atomic" and it is taken from the album you mentioned, i have the CD of that best of with the bonus remix disc. Yello I always found a bit hit and miss but "The Race" is brilliant. Ultravox and Spandau big favourites of mine/
