The Lemon Circus

First time I didn't take a sneaky peek at the track list beforehand and allowed the tunes to simply play like radio - and I made that decision on the opening bars to something's got a hold of my heart - perfect pop. But it continued moving me back and forth throughout the decade - great songs and a few new Human League, ABC, Blancmange - all top discoveries. OMD was unheard before too but had a very experimental feel - I liked it, but not one of there immediate ones - and of course the moment I heard the erasure was awesome - one of my faves from Chorus. I think in honesty the track that I turned UP!!! was Simple Minds, just seemed so fresh and outstanding it deserved the blue riband for this hour - shame I'm a week behind but I blame Easter :)

Thanks for listening mate and for the comments, The Human League track "The Touchables" is from their 1980 album "Travelogue" which is an outstanding album, it was obviously released pre "Dare". OMD's "The Misunderstanding" is off their 2nd album "Organisation" which as you rightly stated is a more experimental album and was the album released prior to "Archtecture & Morality". "Am I Right?" was a brilliant single but for some reason never seems to get any airplay. Always been a big fan of ABC and Blancmange, Blancmange have just released a new album called "Semi-Detached" which is pretty good.

Glad you enjoyed the show.
