There she attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, and in 1996 received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Metals. She lives in the Cleveland area with her family, creating artisan jewelry in her studio and teaching Jewelry/ Metals classes at Lakeland Community College. Kim regularly sells her one of a kind jewelry in the Cleveland market, and participates in exhibitions across the United States.  Artist Statement: "Located close to the Ohio shores of Lake Erie, I find inspiration in the natural environment.
