WCKS The Whale is Grand Valley State University’s student-run radio station. We are located in 055 Kirkhof Center at GVSU’s Allendale Campus (In the basement, of course). Here's a link to our website!

Our format is a blend of current college alternative, classic alternative, classic rock, hip-hop, dubstep - even movie soundtrack music. We play something for everyone! We especially pride ourselves on our selection of the best in independent, underground, and previously undiscovered musicians.
Any member of the student body or faculty may become a DJ on WCKS, given approval by the executive board and training on the equipment. Go to our website, take a look at the schedule, find an open spot, and contact a Whale board member!
Our meetings are held Monday evenings at 9:15 in Room 174 Lake Ontario Hall. You are welcome to come and see what the Whale is about!
