In this sermon, we begin by focusing on opposition that Jesus faces from the Pharisees and Sadducees who demand a sign from Jesus that He is the promised Messiah. We then see Jesus' response in graciously pointing them to study their own Scriptures and tells them that the only sign that he will give is the sign of Jonah. In light of this conversation, Jesus warns his disciples of the false teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. When they don't understand His warning and become anxious about physical bread, Jesus reminds them of His ability to provide for all of their needs by focusing on His past provision.
