A tropical low off the Kimberley coast is expected to turn into Tropical Cyclone Hilda at about 8:00pm this evening. DFES Kimberley's operations area manager, Glenn Hall, says a yellow alert issued for people in Cape Leveque to Wallal and in the surrounding areas.

Country Downs Station, north of Broome, has received more than 100 millimetres of rain. Operations manager, Andrew Miller, says there are looking wet, and it will be a great set up for the 2018 cattle season.

A determination on the class action against the Gillard Government's decision to suspend live exports to Indonesia in 2011 has been pushed back 12 months. An outcome was expected this month but the judge has now asked for more information before compensation can be discussed which has meant the case has been extended. Former CEO of the Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association, Tracey Hayes, is continuing to facilitate the class action on behalf of industry.
