I remember the day I left for college. It was a long time ago, but I still remember everything about it: packing up my stuff, loading it into the car, saying goodbye to my mom, and pulling out of the driveway. It was really the first time I was away… from home. And of course my mom cried. But every time I came back for a weekend or school break or holidays, my mom would always say, “Welcome home.” What awesome words those are. And now as an adult, whenever my wife and I have people over to our home, we do everything we can to make them feel welcome, to feel like family, to feel at home. We say things like, “It’s good to get together! Make yourself at home. Can we get you anything? How is your family doing? Let’s do this again soon!” We want them to feel like they’re not just visiting, but are actually at home away from home. – Pastor Tim Schwindt
At Gateway Church we want you to feel the same thing. We want to say, “Welcome home” to you!
