If you’ve ever heard what’s called “The Lord’s Prayer”, one part of it says, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” That strongly implies that someone else’s will other than mine is what I’m hoping and praying will be done.
That concept may be foreign to many of us. We tend to value what we want, what we desire, and what we hope for… kind of like saying or praying, “MY will be done.” It’s hard to value someone else’s will above our own… even God’s will.
But what if God’s will is going to happen anyhow?
That begs the question, what is God’s will?
There is a lot of hurt, tragedy, violence, pain, difficulty and evil in this world. Maybe you’ve experienced that. So why does God allow that to happen? What is His will for us as a nation, a society, a community? Does He have a plan and purpose for me, for you? We want to help you discover that.
